Why 5% Apatite II?

• Feasibility study and previous studies show that amounts as little as 1% are effective for treatment by providing large excess of PO₄^-3 relative to total Pb in soil

• 5% assures more constant distribution after mixing than smaller amounts

• Larger amounts do not increase performance, but do increase costs
